Mayra has been one of my dearest friends & her kids are basically my kids by extension (not really but in a way). She’s actually the first person to ask me to take portraits of her & the kids – they’re part of the reason I fell in love with photography. You know that friend you have, the one that you know will always be there for you. Let’s say you have a body to hide.. they ask no questions, they just grab their shovel, put their phone away and follow you out to the car? Well that’s Mayra to me & me to her 🙂 we listen/watch a lot of true crime which is why this fictional analogy is fitting.

Anyway, shifting gears a bit – it’s just been such a beautiful experience, continuing to see how our friendship grows and how the kids do!
